THE REBRAND
As I took my art in a new direction, it felt right to 'level up' and update the overall branding of Stringer Things instagram and create a seperate commerce website. Plus, now the brand name felt even more fantastic - it was all about string-flavoured art now.
The challenge was to retain some of the original brand for a smoother transition, while speaking to the new raw and fuzzy handmade 'touchable' qualities of the new sustainable textile 'from scratch' direction.

MEET THE TEAM
LUNA
Art Director & Quality Control
Worried there's still a whiff of rabbit plops amongst your gorgeous farm-to-angora yarn? Worry no longer - Luna, also Loon Moon, Moon and Pingoin Tease, is our Chief of Sniff and snuggler of fluff and always ensures each make is heavily inspected before moving on to our eco packaging station.
Fun Fact: She wasn't recruited, but instead aquired her essential role here through slowly insisting a larger and larger (rather physical!) presence upon each make here at Stringer Things. It all began with her insatiable desire to sniff each battling made to determine it's alpy, wooly, or planty exquisiteness.
HANNAH STRINGER
Head of Stress
Hi! I'm Hannah, who researches and aquires local sustainable fluff, makes food appear for other staff, does all the boring paperwork, spins long yarns, makes the beep-boop bits on the tinterwebs using The Butt-Put (A.K.A. Human's Laptop), takes far too many photos of fluff and all the other stuff.
TSUKI
Chief Producer of Fluff
Kali-Tsu, Tsuki or tSoupy for not-so-short, is our most fantasticly sassy puff-ball. She lives in a converted treehouse mansion far greater than that of Hannah, complete with balcony and garden, but this is not enough. Plans to develop are ongoing and all funds that come from purchases of our Angora Yarns will now go towards the upkeep of Tsu's glorious and giving mane and occassional well-earnt treat.
@stringerthingsart
It was important to make sure the brand, though sustianable and ethical, felt fun and creative. Lots of colour, process and characters (eg. personal pet touch) were used to meet this need.
All photography, handmade merch and content writing were done by me too!
A few examples of my new design. Fresher main fonts, accompanied by original curvy whimsical fonts to accent and reflect brand content.
